The N.Z. Employees Pandemic Preparedness Course trains your employees on how to protect themselves and your business in the event of an influenza pandemic. Why is this training important, right now?
- The World Health Organisation has put the world on Pandemic Alert. PHASE THREE: STANDBY. An avian (bird) influenza virus H5N1 has become aggressive. The speed at which it is being spread around this world is increasing. Although at the moment it cannot move human to human easily, scientists say that the risk of a pandemic has increased significantly.
- NZ Health & Safety in Employment Act gives employers the responsibility to protect their employees in the workplace. Since the influenza virus can be spread at work, it is a hazard. All employees need to be trained how to protect themselves and their fellow colleagues from the spread of infection.
